Valid's Reading After School Program
Posted: November 6, 2018
Valid has partnered with School District No. 83 – North Okanagan-Shuswap and the Literacy Alliance of the Shuswap Society to offer an after-school literacy program for students who need extra support. This program runs from November, 2018 to April, 2019 and is intended for students in grades 3 to 5 who struggle with reading.
“Valid Manufacturing has been a longtime supporter of community literacy and LASS, so we were delighted when general manager Ed Sims expressed a desire to increase that support by sponsoring a new program,” says Darcy Calkins, LASS literacy outreach co-ordinator North Okanagan-Shuswap. “Ed recalled his personal experience in elementary school when a teacher’s mentoring had a significant and positive impact on his academic direction and felt this age group would be a good one to focus on.”

CNC Gasket Centre
Posted: August 6, 2016
Not long ago Valid Manufacturing invested in a state-of-the-art Rampf CNC Gasket Machine to replace the laborious process of installing peel-and-stick foam tape on their electrical enclosures. Foam tape is notorious for coming off over time regardless of how well it was installed. The labour savings and quality this process has brought to our finished products is invaluable. With this equipment, a 4’x8′ door can have a gasket installed in approximately 30 seconds. Pour-in-place gaskets offer superior adhesion and resiliency. Gasket height and width is programed according to each enclosures requirements. Click below to watch a quick video.
